Jennifer Gill Roberts has spent over a decade investing in communications infrastructure, including enterprise and telecom systems and software. She is currently focused on investing in software and services that leverage disruptive technologies and existing infrastructure to allow enterprise and consumer content to be accessed and shared anytime anywhere. Before founding Maven Venture Partners in 2005. Jennifer was a General Partner at top tier venture capital firm, Sevin Rosen Funds. During her nine year tenure at the firm, Jennifer invested in numerous startups providing market leading solutions in communications infrastructure. Jennifer’s most recent investments and board responsibilities include: Everypath, Kabira, Routescience, and Neoscale. As part of her investment strategy, Jennifer looks for world class teams with differentiated technology that have smart, sustainable business models. She is primarily interested in seed-stage opportunities where she can play an active role in shaping new ideas and strategies. For Jennifer the measure of success is shared wealth and creation of real long term value. Jennifer earned a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from Stanford Business School. Before earning her MBA and pursuing a venture capital career, Jennifer worked for close to a decade in engineering and management positions at Apple Computer, Hewlett-Packard Company, and Sun Microsystems. Jennifer founded and served as Chair of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) until 2002, a international organization that has, among other accomplishments, launched the first-ever venture conference for women entrepreneurs, Springboard. Springboard has helped raise hundreds of millions of dollars for participating companies. Jennifer also served on the Advisory Board of the College of Arts & Science at the University of Texas at Austin, and the Stanford School of Engineering Venture Fund and a number of additional non-profit boards. Jennifer is a Senior Fellow of the American Leadership Forum. Her social passions are creating educational opportunities for children and bridging the digital divide. |
